I am also taking Cellcept 2000mg along with Plaquenil 400mg and bextra 20mg, prednisone 10mg, DHEA 50mg and Synthroid.5mg. I have been on the Cellept about 2 months and I can't really tell any difference, except now I have nauseau. If the Placquenil is not helping you enough, the Imuran may work well, and give you better relief. If you have any side effects you don't like, it can be stopped. Methotrexate is another choice that is often tried in addition to Placquenil, so there are options if the Imuran doesn't work. Good luck with it. The prednisone is a steriod and the plaquenil is a anti malaria drug. The thing with plaquenil for me is that I don't notice much of anything taking it but when I go off then I flare up and then really notice it. I have been taking the plaquinil for about 8 years morning and night and the prednisone off and on.
