    Plaquenil well tolerated

It's used to treat and prevent malaria infection, and to reduce symptoms and progression of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and others. Malaria is spread by mosquitoes, which transmit the parasites that cause the infection, usually in tropical and subtropical parts of the world.

Whilst Plaquenil can cause stomach troubles, so can Lupus. What you think may be Plaquenil could just be Lupus. Plaquenil is apparently absorbed into body fat, so often when beginning the doctor will prescribe according to your weight. Plaquenil has a better safety profile than chloroquine and is most commonly used today. When the drugs were first used, the dosages were generally higher than prescribed today, and a peculiar side-effect on the retina of the eye occurred that permanently affected vision. Feb 21, 2018 In my opinion it's a fairly mild and well tolerated combo, but I'm a pretty heavy blast 'em hard type person. Work is always a struggle. I worked a four day work week for my first two or so years of treatment. Went back full time while still on IV.

For example, it may be combined with an antibiotic to treat chronic Q-fever, which humans usually catch from farm animals or raw milk. Plaquenil is used to treat other types of infections too.

I have to take 2 pills a day, 5 days a week (400mg/day). I had tried breakfast and before bed but breakfast I didn't have enough in my stomach and dinner, I'd forget and take it right at bed when my stomach was a little too empty.
